The test equipment generally includes mechanical assemblies, integrated technology, pneumatic and hydraulic systems within a test cell environment housing ventilation, heating and extraction systems. Customer’s products are heavily embedded and interact in our systems. They may include engine control modules and other vehicle related components as required.

The Person

We are looking for someone with a strong varied practical background in relevant engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate should have several yearsexperience in an industry that will have provided a good background in the disciplines needed for our market sector. Current or recent exposure of working on complex projects for the major Automotive or OEM companies would be a distinct advantage.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills;

 

  • Strong Practical Engineering Background
  • Electrical/Mechanical engineering functional knowledge
  • PLC/PC control systems – controls and automation awareness
  • Production manufacturing and test system solutions inautomotive/aerospace/industrial process solutions
  • Communications skills – internal and external
  • Customer focus, find solutions and adaptations
  • Internal Team guidance and leadership
  • Engineer solutions with customers – identifying new business
  • Awareness of new application opportunities and developing solutions
  • Proposal implementation – preparing quotation costs and presentation
  • Manage time and budgets
  • IT core skills, word, excel, Teams etc.
  • Project time planning and implementation
  • Cost awareness and analysis – continuous throughout project
  • Supporting project progression from build through to site and final sign off

The Role

We are looking for a Project Manager who will work closely with our Engineering and Production teams to deliver existing and new projects for key clients, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have full organisational and budgetary control of projects from the initial product development stage, through to installation, commissioning and successful product launch.

Maintaining close customer relationships is critical to our ongoing business, each of our bespoke projects are designed and delivered with customer satisfaction taking priority, as such, building and maintaining strong relationships is a key part of this role.

We are adding to our busy administration team to ensure a smooth running of our expanding business. You will be working closely with our Operations Director to deliver a range of services to the business.
